    I also subscribe to the wonderful Dr. Mark Hyman’s podcasts~~ love him, geeez wish he were my doctor. He has mentioned a couple times about taking a “ PGX” supplement if you know or planned to have carbs~~ his favorite often is Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey ice cream… he takes a PGX… the other doctors he’s interviewing always agree that they simply do to!! Do you know what the letters PGX stands for and what it is that it can help immensely with blocking insulin?

    Our garden is producing yellow squash, I know it is a carb but I hope it's OK to eat some. It's a one ingredient food, a whole food. We saute with onion.

    30g of protein seems like a lot first thing in the morning. What would you suggest that has 30g?

      I’m not saying eat it right away when you wake up, but your first meal should have 30g minimum. Ideally closer to 40-50g. Check out some of my videos on protein because I go over examples ❤️

    I did ketogenic diet for years definitely helped reverse my insulin resistance, but my fasting blood sugar has started going high every morning 105-110 is it possible doing low carb for to long can also cause insulin resistance?

    The side effect of Lactic Acidosis with Metformin is extremely rare (even at the max 2G daily dose) and is completely safe with alcohol use... Just always stick to the national guidelines about consumption of alcohol. Berberine is a risky one when you are already taking Metformin. As the two have the same impact on blood sugar, it can put you at risk of Hypoglycaemia if you take them both at the same time, Its best to space out your doages

    I have Type 2 Diabetes. I also have one copy of the Hemochromatosis gene. I have asked my doctor if there is a connection between the two and they look at me like I am crazy. I would like to see if blood letting would help with my T2D.

    I was getting headaches every day for a while there and thought it was either caffein withdrawal or high blood sugar. I was taking BC Powder every day to get rid of the headaches. But then I started drinking those LMNT electrolyte powder doohickies, and the headaches stopped. I guess my electrolytes were low. Good to know because I don't think BC Powder is good for your stomach if you take too much.
